I
can’t say I thought I'd find myself a blogger (and I’m not sure that writing one
blog constitutes you as one), but here I am. Blogging about beauty. The idea for this blog is entirely
credited to my best friend, Miss Janice. She and I send emails to each other about our latest beauty finds. Genius struck Jan when she
suggested I start a blog to share finds with more people. I countered that she should also participate as she
has great finds and an analytical mind to form opinions on products. And here we are.
We may
not have the budget that many beauty bloggers do. But what we do have is a bit
of writing ability, the love of finding great and reasonably priced products,
and the desire to share our finds with a broader audience. And so without
further ado I present you with my current beauty and make up wish list. Look
out for my next post, “What’s in your make up bag?”
First
up is a product from Estée Lauder, a brand that I fell in love with through my
grandmother. One look at her luminous skin and you’ll understand why. Their skincare
is top-of-the-line and I use one of their eye creams every day (we can talk
about skin care in another post). Their make up is excellent as well and, as
they own MAC Cosmetics and several other companies, is definitely up to snuff.
The
Estée Lauder product I am currently vying for is their Sumptuous Two Tone Eye-Opening Mascara.
I’ve
used colored mascara products before, including a blue mascara from Rimmel, and
love the idea of adding color to your lashes. Jet black eyelashes will always
be my favorite but this adds an interesting twist and would enhance your eye
color. One way of wearing it would be to use the black mascara on your upper
lashes and the colored mascara on your lower lashes.
The
second product on my wish list is Ciaté Caviar Manicure.
I’m
a fan of embellishing my nails and this product looks like it would do just
that. Purchase of a Ciaté
Caviar Manicure set includes a nail polish and caviar pearls. I would
definitely like to try the black set.
Last but not
least on my current wish list are nail appliqués. The idea of this product was
initially not palatable for me as it seemed a bit tacky and because I love my
manicures. But after hearing several people rave about them, I’ve decided that I
should try it out.
My
plan is to purchase a Halloween-themed appliqué as an initial trial.
I could add tons more to this list, but these three are interesting and fun. In December, I'll likely write a "what I got for Christmas post" as related to beauty.
